Ian has over 19 years of combined experience dedicated to advancements in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. An experienced executive board member responsible for influencing national cancer policy at one of the world’s largest medical research charities. Ian has also held senior roles overseeing basic, translational and clinical research, working in close collaboration with global partners.
An experienced leader, having held positions in commercial, health sector and third sector organisations over the last 10 years.
Prior to CRUK, Ian worked in industry, working with global pharmaceutical companies to develop novel immunotherapies, vaccines and cell therapies. He holds a Biochemistry BSc with honours and a PhD from the University of Leeds, an MBA with distinction from Warwick Business School, and is currently studying Digital Transformation in Healthcare at Harvard Medical School.
