I’m Martin and my little girl, Indy, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in July 2023. She spent 7 weeks in hospital following her diagnosis and has been through 2.5 years of daily chemo, undergone 23 surgeries, taken monthly steroids, and had weekly clinic visits as well as several dozen unplanned emergency hospital stays. Throughout this time, my wife and I have had to look after her, our other two children, and work full time whilst trying to deal with all the emotional and physical toll that comes with a child going through cancer treatment. Indy completed her treatment last month and is now recovering from the effects of everything that she’s been through, and we’re now settling into a new normal post-cancer.
