Dr. Rigg is a GP partner working in the Possilpark area of Glasgow. He developed interest in inequalities in cancer care via the “GPs at the Deep End” group. This led to involvement in developing cancer guidelines and pathway redesign. He is now lead GP for cancer in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Primary Care Lead for West of Scotland Cancer Network and Joint Clinical Lead of the Scottish Primary Care Cancer Group supported by Cancer Research UK.

He remains particularly interested in health care inequalities, innovations to help achieve earlier cancer diagnoses and improving experiences for patients throughout their cancer journey.
